Getting started

How do I sign up?

Click "Get started" anywhere on the site. You'll fill out a short health intake, about five minutes, and book a consultation with a licensed provider.

What does the intake cover?

Your health history, current medications, allergies, what you're hoping to achieve, and a few questions about lifestyle. Honest answers help your provider give you the best care.

How long does the consultation take?

It varies, but most consultations are short. Your provider has already reviewed your intake before you talk.

What if I don't qualify for a prescription?

Your provider will explain why and suggest other options where appropriate. You're not charged for medication that wasn't prescribed.

Programs

What do you prescribe?

At launch, our weight loss program offers compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide. Your provider decides which medication, if any, is appropriate for you based on your health history and goals.

Are these the same as Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, or Zepbound?

No. Those are FDA-approved, brand-name finished products. We prescribe compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, which are prepared by a licensed pharmacy. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved as finished products. The active ingredients are in the same family of medications, but the products are different.

What's compounded medication?

A medication prepared by a licensed pharmacy for an individual patient. Compounded medications are made on a per-prescription basis. They aren't FDA-approved as finished products.

How is the dose decided?

Your provider decides your starting dose based on your intake and consultation. It's standard for doses to start lower and be adjusted over time.

Billing

How am I billed?

You're billed at the start of each cycle of your plan. Andrew Meds will send plan and billing details before each cycle.

Do you take insurance?

No. Andrew Meds is cash-pay only.

Can I cancel?

Yes, anytime. Reach out through the contact form and we'll help.

What if I need a refund?

Refund requests are handled case by case. Reach out through the contact form.

Shipping

How long until my medication arrives?

After your prescription is approved, the pharmacy typically ships within a few business days. Delivery time depends on your location.

What does the packaging look like?

Plain. No branding on the outside that says what's inside.

Where do you ship?

Wherever our provider network is licensed. The intake checks your state before you book.

How do I get refills?

Andrew Meds will contact you about refill timing. Your provider stays involved on refills.

Medical

Who are the providers?

Licensed clinicians in your state. They review your intake, talk with you, and write the prescription if a medication is appropriate.

What are common side effects?

For GLP-1 medications, the most common are nausea, constipation, diarrhea, and stomach discomfort, especially early on. Less common but more serious side effects exist. See the full list on the weight loss program page.

What if something feels wrong?

Contact Andrew Meds so the right team can help. For anything severe, get medical care right away.

Can I take this with my other medications?

Tell your provider about everything you take during the intake and consultation. They'll check for interactions before writing a prescription.
